CampOUT
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I/My partner/friend is differently abled. What are the accomodations like?
Will I/We be able to get around?
A. We are currently working to get a restroom/port-a-potty down in the
camping area where most of the CampOUT activities take place. There
is one nearby, but it is up stairs and a hill. Many people took to driving
to it, but the parking area is not laid out, and you have to drive the
wrong way up the hill to get to it. Other than just the restroom issue
the nearest shower is also in the same building as the restrooms. So
that would be a problem, but not the same kind. Lets' put it this way,
Long Fork is in the mountains. The place is hilly, steeply hilly. It's
great for your calf muscles! We want to make it accessible for everyone,
but it will take a few years before we get to that point. Take some
time to look at the Long Fork website. Maybe call them on the phone
to discuss if going is a good idea. If you don't mind driving to take
a shower, and go to the pool then you'll be fine. There is parking available
next to every cabin, lodge room, RV spot, and tent camp spot.
Q. How late can I/We arrive at Long Fork?
A. If you are coming for CampOUT you must arrive before the scheduled time
that registration closes. If you can not arrive before that time please do not
plan to arrive.
Q. Are non-trans or non-leather folk allowed to attend CampOUT?
A. YES, all genders are welcome. Is my boyfriend? Yes. Is your girlfriend? Why, yes. My
friend is genderqueer, are they allowed
to come? Yes, again. Any person who is supportive of our diverse community is
welcome.
Q. Are there hookups for RVs?
A.YES!!! please visit this weblink for prices. You will be paying that
to Long Fork. This does not effect the cost of CampOUT. Our registration
is the same if you are camping in a tent on the event field, or staying
in the accomodations offered by Long Fork. Here is the link for Long
Fork pricing.

Q. Are pets allowed?
A. YES!! Please check the pet policy with Long Fork if you have more questions.
Rules
Q. What about buying alcohol or neccessities?
Long Fork is way out there. The nearest towns do have grocery stores,
and the nearest convenience store is well stocked. BUT the nearest towns
are about 20 minutes away. There is only one place also about 20-30
minutes away to buy liquor. Beer and wine are available at seemingly
every gas station and grocery store. If you want liquor plan to bring
it with you.
Q. Is there a hotel nearby, or cabins at Long Fork if I am not intersted
in camping in a tent?
A. YES!!! Long Fork has 2 cabins (close to the event field), 3 lodge
rooms, and 2 RVs. First come first serve. If you rent a cabin/lodge
room/RV it will not effect the cost of CampOUT. Our registration price
will be the same. Here is the link for pricing.

Q. What kind of food will be served?
A. All kinds of food. Think summer camp but better tasting. There will be
vegetarian and/or vegan options at all meals. We ask that if you have any dietary restrictions you
include that on your registration form.
Q. Will there be things to do for people not interested/into BDSM
or Leather?
A. Yes. Other than having fun camping, there is a pool and stage which
we are more than eager to let anyone show up and use. No planned shows
at this time. The pool itself is a hub for the whole campground. Meet
the people who come to Long Fork all the time, but might not attend
CampOUT. If you know someone please have them email us at LaGarou@hotmail.com.
Q. What should I bring with me? I have never been camping!
A. Please see our suggestion list on our camping
101 page. There are also many good informational sites listed on
the camping & scouting links page.
Q. Is there a group for people not interested in being a member of La
Garou, but who would like to communicate with other people attending La Garou sponsored events?
A. Yes. Please follow this link to join our group LaGarou_events.
