Directions and Transportation
DIRECTIONS:Long Fork recommends
that you call them on the phone! They will be happy to clarify anything.
Here is their #885-598-CAMP (2267)
These are our directions that we used to get there. They work well!!
Take I-79 coming from the north or south.
Exit I-79 exit 19.
If coming from the North turn LEFT from the exit, and go under the overpass
for I-79.
If coming from the South turn RIGHT from the exit.
Go to the first Left (US 119/Spencer RD) after you
leave the highway. (people coming from the north take care to not reenter
I-79!) This corner includes a gravel area for parking.
Follow US 119 for 8 miles. It has lots of twists and turns, but just
watch for the US 119 road signs. Keep your eye out for HUFFMAN'S
GAS STATION, and a dramatic turn to the right!!! Huffman's
is the key that you will GO STRAIGHT AND NOT CONTINUE TO FOLLOW
US 119! If you call Long Fork they will tell you you are making
a Left hand turn. In reality US 119 makes a very dramatic Right turn
which includes a high grade to the road. When you go forward "Left turn"
you will be on Lynch Ridge Road.
GO SLOW!!!
There will be a church on the left and a road on the right. You will
see a sign with an arrow on it stating Ambler Ridge.
Turn RIGHT onto Ambler Ridge. It's
going to look like someone's driveway but it's not, it's a road. Continue
down Ambler Ridge until it becomes a Gravel road. Keep your eye on the
left. The second driveway on the LEFT is Long Fork. On the right side
of the road in front of the drive for Long Fork is a big pipe mailbox.
As you go down the drive you will see signs with "Long Fork Road" on
them, and you will see the Lodge first.
STOP at the lodge to check in!!!
Do not enter Long Fork unless you stop at the lodge first!!!

of people on these groups coming to CampOUT who have room for more passengers, and or are looking for a
passager to cut their gas costs. People are coming from all directions so don't be shy about finding out if
someone is coming from your area!
